I have moved into the Hygienic Art Residency program in New London, CT. It's an opportunity to live and work in downtown and have time and space to create, share, connect. I'm very excited about this opportunity to make new work, connections, and experience all this place has to offer and am truly grateful.
About the program:
'Hygienic Art, Inc. has for thirty-eight years directly served, presented, supported and worked with artists in Southeastern CT. Low and moderate income artists have relied on Hygienic for a range of supportive services and programs. Hygienic has provided the only low/moderate income artist housing in the region in addition to directly serving 10,000 artists since its inception and fielding over 400 queries a year from artists. Hygienic has established itself as the ‘go-to’ organization for direct work with artists and other non-profit organizations.
The Hygienic Resident Artist Program will offer support to emerging artists. Residents have frequent opportunities to participate in Gallery Shows and Hygienic programming. The resident program offers a supportive environment for artists to explore their skill set, gain feedback and expand their professional network.'
